1000 Books Before Kindergarten at the Rathbun Library

The Rathbun Memorial Library is excited to present the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Families are invited to join this fun and exciting new program.  The 1,000 Books Program is a wonderful  way to start your child on the path to success and the joy of reading.

This nationwide program encourages parents and caregivers to regularly read aloud to their children.  By reading just one book a night, families can reach the 1,000 book goal in three years and provide their children essential early literacy skills.

Stop by the Rathbun Library to register, and pick up your program materials and free gift.

Library Study Committee Report Now Available

The New Library Study Committee has completed their report and will be presenting it to the Board of Selectmen on December 21st at 7:00pm in Meeting Room 1&2 of the Municipal Office Complex. Digital copies can be found at the link below. Physical copies of the report are available at Town Hall and both libraries.

Cage-a-Palooza is Coming to EHFPL!

Come celebrate the work of Nicolas Cage with us at EHFPL’s 25th Annual Nicholas Cage Film Festival during the month of January! All month long, we will be showcasing his work through films and fun activities. Also, the library welcomes our special guest star Nicholas Cage (cardboard cutout) who will be making an appearance at EHFPL for meet & greets and selfies with his fans! We hope to see you there!

Cage-a-Palooza starts Jan. 1 and runs through the end of the month.
