Rathbun Library Non-fiction Book Club

The February Non Fiction book club at the Rathbun Library will be reading “Greater Journey” By David McCullough. Join us on Thursday February 2nd at 2:00 when we will be discussing this selection.

American Girl Club

Have some fun with American Girl Club at the Rathbun on Wednesday, January 11 from 2:00 – 3:00pm! Grab your American Girl* and come make an awesome craft with us. Please Call (860) 873-8210 to register – craft supplies are limited. (Ages 5+)

*Note: Grab any doll you’d like, you don’t need to have an American Girl – this club is all about having fun! 🙂

All Ages Chess Club!

Chess Club will be meeting 4:00-6:00 on the 4th Friday of the month at the East Haddam Free Public Library and the 4:00-6:00 the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Rathbun Memorial Library.

The Chess Club, is a warm, inviting, and entertaining environment in which to play one of the most strategic games ever created. The one game that stretches for every bit of knowledge you possess, reaches for it in order to outplay your opponent. Chess is one of the most fun and brain-testing sports out there, and we invite you to give it a try.

Whether you are a state champion or someone who has never touched a rook in their life, we can guarantee a great learning experience and challenging opponents.

Join us to enhance your knowledge of the game through casual tournaments and fun scrims, and meet others who share similar interests. We hope to see you there!
