Rock Wrapping-Teen and Adult

Friday, June 30 6pm – 7pm

Rock wrapping is an art form rooted in Japanese tradition. Wrapped stones guided visitors to Japanese gardens along a recommended route or the correct spiritual path. Today, there are many variations of rock wrapping using a variety of materials. For this program, attendees will learn two methods of rock wrapping to create their own serenity stone. Bring your own favorite rocks to wrap, or look for some in local riverbeds, beaches or hiking trails. Somewhat symmetrical and smooth, palm-sized rocks work best. We will have a few rocks here to choose from, as well as all other necessary supplies. Spots for this program are limited, please call 860-873-8248 or use the link below to reserve your spot!
