2nd Annual East Haddam Library System Tiny Art Show

Calling all East Haddam Community members! It’s time for our 2nd Annual Tiny Art Show and we need you to get your creativity going! This fun, free community event is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library groups from each Library.  It is open for all artists and creators at any age & skill level.  Creating art is great for the mind!

Each Library will have 60 kits available to hand out beginning March 3rd.  The tiny art kits contain a 4×4 canvas, acrylic paint and brushes. Feel free to use other mediums or materials, whatever will fit on the 4×4 canvas! Try some sea glass art, or maybe quilt art, or even origami! Any theme or subject can be explored; we just ask that all submissions are family-friendly.

You take your kit home, with a promise to return your created masterpiece to the Libraries by March 27th, so it can be featured in this year’s show. We will open the Tiny Art Show at each Library on Saturday, April 1st and it will run until April 15th.  Don’t miss out, come join the fun!

Welcome!

We are happy to announce we have a new Library Director and would like you to join us in welcoming Allison Murphy to the East Haddam Library System. Her first day with the libraries will be Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Allison brings a wealth of experience and knowledge from her previous library positions, most recently as Head of Public Services and Assistant Director of E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison, CT.

We are excited to have Allison join us and look forward to having our patrons meet and get to know her.
